I'm sewing again. I'm working on 2 tote bags and once those are done I'll be back to making dolls. I'm having a little trouble getting used to my new machine. The best way to describe my trouble is it seems slippery. Maybe I'm just not used to it. My fabric seems to slide more on this machine.
Now for a Tootie story. She came up to me asking for a snack. She asked specifically for a bowl of green "sprinkles" which is green colored sugar used to decorate cookies. I said no, of course, and chuckled saying very sarcastically "I might as well give you the bag of sugar and a spoon". You should have seen her eyes. They kind of glossed over as she imagined what that would be like. I heard a small sigh and a euphoric "ahhhhhh, sugar". It was classic Homer Simpson. beautiful.

I'm interested to see what you think of the new machine in a few weeks. I use my mom's old 1978 Husquavarna that she gave me. I love it but I do see those newer machines and sometimes start thinking. Although, she seems like an old friend now and I probably couldn't give her up.
Love the pictures of your crafts you are very talented.
tootie is hilarious! i can totally picture that look in her eyes, and you know she was suddenly taken to a magical place where there were mounds and mounds of sugar just for her.
when did she grow up?
pictures of the bags when you are done, please.
Children just only have the ability to take things literally, which is something as mothers we have all learned at our cost!!!!
Tootie cracks me up! I could go for a bowl of sprinkles too. Hey, I know I ask you this all of the time..or rather every time I post a comment..so not that ofter, but since you're sewing again and all...any chance I might be able to talk you into one of your fabulous dolls? At the appropriate cost, of course.
